I saw this movie too at a local blockbuster and I was captivated by the really badass cover photo and the praises by these indie film places so I rented it....The introduction scene was amazing even though the guns looked so old and fake but after that the movie went to hell, I didn't even know the old guy was his father! it pissed me off with all the needless character building they seemed to keep adding on, and I eventually fell asleep! Ultimately, a letdown of what could've been a great movie.

When you read a review from Film Threat that says "A come out of nowhere masterpiece," expectations can't be anything but high. While my ultimate opinion was negative and I probably won't ever watch it again, it does have some shining moments. They just didn't add up to make the overall experience worth it.

I have this pre-ordered, and I'm very much looking forward to it. Like you, I've read quite a bit of good stuff about it, so I'll try my best to keep the hype from infecting my experience.
