Alright, so that’s not a direct quote, and not entirely fair but /Film is reporting that Uwe Boll, the German director with a boner for video game adaptations has responded to the 18,000 signature internet petition, politely asking him to hang up his director’s pants and find another profession, by challenging the internet. 18,000 signatures isn’t enough, apparently, and I couldn’t agree more. If you’re going to force a man to consider another career path, you’re really going to have to get out the vote. So when asked how many it would take, he kindly replied:
So you heard him, folks. Get the fuck over here and sign your name on the dotted line. Every time the guy announces a new movie, internet fanboy circles go apeshit and spend a lot of time and energy declaring Boll’s abilities an affront to God. So now’s your chance. Put up or shut up.
However, if you think a million signatures on an internet petition will make him go away, you’re crazy.
