It seems like Cüneyt Arkin is to blame for half of Turkey’s lousy movies; Turkish Star Wars may be the only thing on the same level of badness as the Star Wars Holiday Special.

Maybe I will check this out sometime to let them make it up to me.

No. This is actually a quality production. The acting on the part of the American is REALLY terrible, as though they picked the first American guy they saw off the street and cast him in the role but the movie is top notch in terms of quality.
