I’ve been burning out lately on the music I have on my iPod. I’m talking shitloads of tunes but none of it seems to thrill me. So I’m always on the lookout for new podcasts. Just for fun I thought I would toss this one out there because it was pretty good.
The Atlanta Radio Theater Company did a live rendition of H.P. Lovecraft’s seriously creepy story about a town down on its luck that gives in to the ancient gods of the sea and pays the price for it, The Shadow Over Innfmouth, at the 2004 Dragon Con. Featuring the voice of classic Sci-Fi author, Harlan Ellison. It’s really good. I’m reminded of the sort of presentation put on by A Prairie Home Companion, you know, if it were morbid and obsessed with unseen cosmic horrors.
