It seemed to have quite a following and people saying it was a great horror comedy from the 80′s…of which there were maybe 3 total? I’m still trying to get a copy of Saturday the 14th. But this movie was sophomoric at best. Not a so bad it’s good, just lame joke after lame joke and no real story to string it together. I admit when the dog meowed and then farted at the beginning I laughed and was preparing myself for a Naked Gun style horror film but it just was so so so dull. I’m all for slapstick humor but this film tries so hard to be funny, that you can see it struggling for a audience reaction or laugh track. It’s like that guy you know that has a couple of jokes he tells all the time. He’s never funny and kinda annoying. Pretty disappointing. I’ll take a so bad it’s good movie over this anytime like Hard Rock Zombies, or Troll 2. Great review as always Bryan.
