Chucky turns 20! Here’s a Special Edition.
Aug 27th, 2008 by Bryan White
I’ve been feeling mighty old these days and this upcoming release from MGM Home Entertainment isn’t helping matters at all. Somehow, against all odds, the slasher movie managed to limp its way all the way up to the 90s before taking a much deserved break and in the death throes of the genre, 1988, to be exact, Child’s Play came along, injecting the genre with a little originality. It also gained quite a cult and made Brad Dourif a horror kid’s secret crush. I know people who go positively apedshit for that guy!
So to celebrate the success of Chucky and 20 years of voodoo enhanced killer dolls, MGM is poised to release a special edition of the flick that gives fans of this classic everything they could want short of their very own Good Guy doll. Expect three commentary tracks, the third featuring Chucky commentary in certain scenes of the movie, an old featurette from back in the day, two new ones and a documentary. Top it off with the usual trailers and photo galleries for the win!
All of this will be available September 9th!

Already 20 years??? It looks like yesterday when I saw that movie! I am afraid that my memorie doesn’t get any better with the years passing by! Umm, what does that say about one’s mental state??? That we only remember the junk and forget all the other happenings in our lives because, come on, 20 years have gone by we should come up with other interesting memories than a horror flick about a possessed doll??? LOL
