My Name Is Bruce premier and theatrical dates

Posted by Bryan White | Wednesday September 3, 2008 | News

That poster seriously sucks but just about everyone I know foams at the mouth and convulses on the floor at the very thought of this movie.  It seems to have been in production forever and information about it and its release have been really slow in coming down the pike but here it is, a list of theatrical dates thanks to the official website, before it shuffles off to DVD so the rest of us, living out in the sticks (or not in the United States) can set our eyes to it. Unfortunately, the site doesn’t say where in these cities the movie will be playing, so it’s going to be up to you to find the location.

  • 10/26 Austin, TX Alamo Drafthouse
Black Curtain screening/premiere with Harry Knowles
  • 10/31-11/2 NYC
  • 11/5 Philadelphia, PA
  • 11/7 Boston, MA
  • 11/9 Hartford, CT
  • 11/12 New Haven, CT
  • 11/14 Baltimore, MD
  • 11/15 Washington D.C.
  • 11/19 Columbus, OH
  • 11/20 Toledo, OH
  • 11/21-23 Detroit, MI
  • 11/28-30 Chicago, IL
  • 12/3 Madison, WI
  • 12/5-7 Minneapolis, MN
  • 12/12 Seattle, WA
  • 12/13-14 Portland, OR
  • 12/15 Medford, OR
  • 12/17 San Francisco, CA
  • 12/18 Berkeley, CA
  • 12/19-21 Los Angeles, CA

Truth be told, Bruce’s website promises to post the actual venue information for each city so get your tickets as soon as that shit is available.  These places are going to blow up.  Bruce will be in attendance for Q&A at each of these shows.

I absolutely hate traveling to DC, but I might make an exception for this. You going to try to catch one of them, Bryan?

Also… Medford? Which one of these things ain’t like the others?

I’m actually thinking of going to Boston for the show. I’ve seen Bruce talk in the past and he can be a little caustic with the fans but it’ll probably be at the Coolidge Corner theater or The Brattle, both are sweet theaters.

Yet another film that skips St. Louis, MO. :(

Didn’t we hear about this movie at the UNH talk? I mean that was like 3 years ago and it has taken this long to come out. Damn I will try and make the L.A. Show in December.
