The one problem I had with Gremlins is the scene where Phoebe Cates tells the story about her dad dying in the fireplace and she reveals there is no Santa! Some kids might be stunned at this!

Amazing… I’ve been looking for just this list! What with it being that scary time of year my niece and nephew keep begging me to watch scary movies. Wonderful selection you’ve chosen here. I had just last weekend allowed them (9 and 10yrs old) to watch Poltergeist and they loved it… although their Grandmother looked at me like I had let them watch Day of the Dead(1985) so I guess that one really is up to the parent. Either way, thanks for taking the time to put this together!
