My dream scenario for World War Z would be to see this made into a cable mini-series. It can be as long as it needs to be and as violent as they want to be and not have to worry about it. Doing the feature thing, though, they're going to wind up truncating and cutting out really good parts. I really see them knocking out that totally awesome story about the nuclear sub or the dog trainer in favor of putting the focus on the Battle of Yonkers and the push east from the Rockies. Both very cool stories but long enough and important enough to be the focus of an entire feature.

What i really liked about the book was that it showed how human weakness can give rise to catastrophe. I think that is going to be hard to convey in the film. If they do a 90-minute format, the focus ends up being on zombie-action, not the people and politics. I'm hoping for trilogy... cover the early outbreaks, the panic, and then the war. It is just to much good writing for one movie.

I'm not a fan of the book - I found it a rather tedious read, however this may be one of the few exceptions where the movie is better than the book!
