This trailer most certainly does not “kinda suck” as I declared the last one’s suckitude. The last trailer to come down was a mashup of the original Comic Con footage and nothing we hadn’t seen before. This one is a different story. An entirely different story. They’re still using the Pam Voorhees dub about Jason over the soundtrack but there’s a lot more frightened facial expressions, machettes and cutaways of half-naked teens being murdered than the last time out. Not to mention a whole lot more of Jason, who in spite of the widespread doubt and hardcore fan bitching about Kane Hodder NOT wearing the mask, looks fucking bad-ass. That hop-skip wind-up clip of Jason about to cleave the prone chick’s head in half is about the award winner of the clip. There’s also some fleeting footage of the tunnels around the location that explain how Jason manages to be everywhere quickly.

Awesome to get your take on it. I was going to ask you what you thought via Twitter, but this is better than 140 characters.

I gotta admit even though it’s Michael Bay, I still want to see this film. Perhaps Bruce WIllis will save the kids in the end and blow some crap up with dynamite.

It’s just Michael Bay’s production company, Platinum Dunes. The only thing he did on this movie is sign a few checks.
This is Doug Nispell who did the Texas Chainsaw remake. I had my doubts but I really warmed up to it.

yeah I didn’t enjoy the remake of chainsaw as much as I hoped but still was a good ride. and Jessica Biel is always good on the eyes. We’ll see how this remake turns out. I’m getting tired of remakes though. Is there no creativity left in Hollywood?

Dude. They’re adapting board games to the screen these days. Battleship and Monopoly.
That’s a big no, right there.
