I feel like I’ve been on a pop art kick for a few days now what with the Jose Gonzalez obit and the Marvel Zombies 4 mention, but I also feel like I’ve seen Justin Reed’s art before as well. Maybe at one of those dark art shows they have down in Salem, Massachusetts every October. It’s really ringing a bell. Or maybe it’s just because the whole shebang is the shit. Would you look at these things? If original art didn’t cost a god damn arm and leg, I’d shell out for that The Thing painting because it kicks more ass than I know what to do with. Ordinarily, paintings of movies strike me as tacky. You know? You honestly didn’t have anything else to create? But Reed’s style borders on the psychedelic with warped body forms and unusual color schemes. Here’s a few more for your ass. Gaze upon them.
