Watching The Burrowers this morning on Netflix/Xbox and I just had to see if you wrote a review... Solid gold! The cinematography is beautiful AND creepy; I can't wait to see how it ends.

I really liked the movie, the acting was good, the story was plausible until near the end when the Irishman finds a trinket from his lost love miles away from where she most likely was buried. That did not add up and the ending became confused. All in all though, a great mix of cowboys and monsters.

I thought it was a disappointing flick. Although there are a few good things about the film, the idea is plain brilliant. But, as they travel to find the missing family, they ride their horses into the middle of nowhere, then sleep at night were they get jumped by the monsters. It just rinses and repeats throughout the entire movie. The occasional, "Oh man, he died(or went missing). Let's just keep going anyway." type deal after wards. The story didn't really advance after that. They never found their family and the ending really didn't help its cause. 2 Stars for me, because it did give me a fear of the unknown.

I loved this movie, and how it created a bleak and terrifying surreality in much the same way as Alien. I really liked how some of the characters doomed themselves to a terrible end through narrow-minded assumptions, and bad tactics . I don't usually want to see movies for a second time, but this movie is really special in very subtle yet brutal ways and well worth a second look.

I totally forgot that Clancy Brown was in the hatch. Damn. I need to see if the producer was on LOST at some point because that's three cast members right out of the show.

Yeah, I'm sold, too. Western/horror is definitely an untapped genre. Having 3 LOST players on the cast is just icing on the cake. Clancy Brown rocks.

Well, I'm sold. I'll be looking for this one, despite the conspicuous lack of zombies. I love me some Western/horror and I hate that there isn't more of it.
