I hardly ever tap my social and political noodle over here because I often don’t feel that it mixes well with my criticism of the qualities, positive or negative, of movies whose central conceit is a shoddy script to fence in buckets of blood, tits and ass. But I’m actually pretty opinionated and have a lot of things to say about a lot of things. Net neutrality should be a no-brainer. The internet is a huge orgy of ideas, art and commerce trying to get along and the fact that there is no way for anyone to control it freaks out business because it’s a giant x-factor that doesn’t jive with their business plans. So the people who control access to the internet are trying to be sneaky and control what you see based on what they own on the internet and who their competition is and what they happen to own. It could result in widespread censorship like China’s national firewall, only this one is up purely in the interest of one giant company making even more money than they do already. Well fuck them. And fuck anyone who thinks that net neutrality is bad. Here’s the mayor of Tromaville, Lloyd Kaufman, doing what he does best to communicate a very important point.
