I Watched the film at midnight and the film itself is good , but it’s the atmosphere of the audience That makes the film great.

Although The Ending Was Haunting and almost threw me off sleeping with the light off I was Slightly disappointed at its “New Scary” perspective , Over all for such a low budget film the directer proves that money is not everything . Ad Paranormal Activity proves that along with Blair Witch the most successful of it’s genre and a definite recommendation.

They should make a movie about the Old Alton Bridge. This is a little bit of the legends of the Goatman’s bridge.

There have been several disappearances on and around Old Alton Bridge. Most notably, one that occurred November 15th 1967. The Denton newspaper at the time did an article on a mustang found abandoned on the bridge and there were lots of people that reported other missing persons linked to the Goatman’s bridge and the Goat man.

The story is that Klansmen raided the house of the Goatman, Oscar Washburn, and killed his family after attempting to lynch him over the side. The legend says that he disappeared over the side and now attacks anyone who crosses the bridge at night in an effort to protect his family.

I believe that this movie is truly one of the scariest movies I have ever seen; not because it attains the cliche “haunting,” but because these are original clips of live events, and not an edited remake. This is what had to scare the audience the most. What really got me was the ending though. Kinda makes me wonder if I’ve ever passed her going down the street or something like that. Her where-abouts is what entirely freaked me out. great movie!

I saw it in Colorado Springs, and it was the only horror movie that scared me. It inspired a feeling of dread until the very end through very subtle details and changes in set and characters. Things happened very slowly and gradually, and the movie didn’t let that tension slip at all with cheap jolts and stupid music. I thought it was well done in its simplicity and didn’t annoy me like most horror movies. I agree with nearly all Viktor’s saying, and I only wish I myself had been able to hit a midnight showing.

It was a great movie and really got me at the end but I wish they would have explained more about what it was. Why did it follow her? How did the picture get there? Did it burn her house down? Etc etc

I totally get where you’re coming from. I didn’t dig the preview either. After seeing the film though, I think they have to stick with that one trick pony for now and not give people too much of the film. Don’t be fooled though, the scares are pretty subtle. This isn’t one of those surprise you or gotcha films. Even Alien had a scene where a cat jumps out at you before the real scare, but thankfully, this couple has no pets!

I saw this a few weeks ago in Chicago, and the most I will tell you is that it is not comprised of nothing but “jump” moments. Firstly, there is no musical score to build up and broadcast “scary stuff happening in 5..4..3″. A lot of the scares from truely dreadful things happening around them. Pictures breaking, doors opening and shutting, lights turning themselves on an off, footsteps around the house and in the room. This movie really is as scary and haunting as everyone says that it is.

Im interested in this but personally, the whole commercial of showing kids being scared in a theater with a night vision cam felt very tacked on and kind of stupid. Im willing to give it a shot though.

I just hope this isnt the new scary. New scary just being stuff flash across the screen with a loud noise to jolt the audience, and sadly alot of people now think that is scary and what a horror movie is. I mean if I am driving down the interstate doing 65mph and a bird crashes into my windshield yeah its gonna make me jump but it doesnt mean Im afraid of the bird, I was just surprised is all.
