I agree with most of your article. Boardwalk empire, Fringe, and Breaking Bad are awesome shows. However, I think you didn’t give Haven a fair shot. I thoroughly enjoy that show, and Emily Rose is so cute, I could give a rats ass if she can act or not. But the one show that’s missing from your list is Sons of Anarchy, that’s a great show!

Well Tony, I’m guessing Emily Rose must have turned down your offer of a date? I watched every episode of Haven – and while not all the episodes were great watching, Emily Rose’s character was defintely one of the best on show. Get that corncob out of your butt and give the lady a break.

What, no Sons of Anarchy? It’s one of the hardest hitting shows on TV and it keeps getting ignored. At least Katey Seagal finally was nominated for an Emmy.

I could not bother to invest the time in Haven. I’m just tired of a town where freaky things happen but nothing ever seems to change. I watched a few but I was underwhelmed.

You know? It’s funny that The Event made the bottom of our list. Stephen King, whose opinion I tend to trust, named it one of the best of the year. I don’t see it at all. Seemed like another play on the LOST formula of endless cliffhnagers and a ceaseless mystery with an impossible number of twists. No thanks.

I suspect you stopped watching HAVEN after the first few episodes. Those were truly awful. But to my amazement the show got hugely better in the second half of the season, to the point where it’s actually quite good. Rose is still at best so-so, but her co-stars carry the show, and the writing delivered, including a socko cliffhanger ending to the last episode. It may not ever be one of your favorites, but it’s not “Worst New Show” caliber anymore.
