I didn’t actually know that about the settlement between Siegel and Shuster and DC. Bearing all that in mind, it makes a lot of sense but it’s not something I’d get down about. This sort of move is something I think these big companies ought to do every ten years or so.

I still say the reboot has to do with DC losing the lawsuit the original creators family filed against DC (just google “superman lawsuit” and youll find it). So thats why DC basically said “Fuck it. Lets reboot everything since superman has been in everything”. According to the lawsuit he cant be married to lois lane, he cant be a reporter, his parents names, his parents launching him into space and some other origin based stuff because DC doesnt actually own that source material. So instead of paying what they owe for it they are just rebooting the whole thing.

Thanks for the reviews. So far, I’ve only read JUSTICE LEAGUE, but I’ve heard such good things ANIMAL MAN that it seems like a must-read (and I remember liking the Moore trade paperback that Nick Plante let me borrow back in the day).
