Words can’t properly express how badly I want more X Files. I never saw the series to its conclusions but I’m fairly certain that only the most die-hard fans stuck with it through its final seasons. As far as I know, the show concluded with a whimper, which is a real shame since it stands as a serious cultural force of the 90’s. Hell, I stand firm that it’s the finest television show of all time. So imagine the sheer force of elation I felt when the announcement came down that there was another movie in the works. They’ve managed to keep plot details thin and the only concrete data is the casting which features the original players plus Amanda Peet, Billy Connolly and Xzibit. I’m pretty sure that no one, aside from the cast and crew know what it’s about but it has been made clear that it’s not about aliens. Some set photos leaked a while back of Chris Carter posing with some kind of wolf suit, though. So who the hell knows?

I still can’t tell you what it’s about based on that but consider me extremely happy about this. We’ll see how long that trailer lasts before Fox, notorious for being dicks about leaked content and the fan community, demands its removal.
